About the role

You’ll work with consumer brands to understand why customers buy, where they drop out and what should be tested next. Your work covers the full buying journey: landing pages, product pages, pricing, offers, cart and checkout.

You’ll take a question from research through to an experiment brief, work with designers and developers to get it built, and explain the result to the brand. Previous ecommerce experience is essential; you should be comfortable discussing both the customer experience and the economics behind it.

What you’ll do

  • Review customer feedback, survey responses, session recordings and funnel data to identify problems worth investigating.
  • Build a test roadmap with a clear hypothesis, primary metric and reason for each priority.
  • Write briefs that give designers and developers the evidence, intended change and scope they need to build.
  • Review test results across conversion, order value, revenue and contribution. Explain uncertainty and recommend the next action.
  • Lead client updates and keep the roadmap current as results, stock, trading priorities and customer behaviour change.
  • Use AI to organise research and develop ideas, then check the source evidence before it becomes a recommendation.

What you’ll bring

  • Hands-on ecommerce experience. You understand how pricing, acquisition costs, margins and the buying journey affect performance.
  • You can turn customer research and analytics into a testable recommendation, with evidence for why it belongs on the roadmap.
  • You can read an A/B test, explain the uncertainty and recognise when the sample or comparison cannot support a conclusion.
  • You write briefs a designer or developer can act on, and explain your recommendation clearly on a client call.
